The Department of Physiology is among the premier departments in VKSGMC and started functioning in 2024. The broad goal of teaching to undergraduate students in physiology aims at providing the student comprehensive knowledge of normal functions of body and to facilitate the understanding of physiological basis of health and disease.
Department of Physiology is well equipped with gas analyser, Polygraphs, Computerised Spirometer, Digital Physiographs, NCV/EMG machine, etc.
The goal is not only to provide holistic education to undergraduate students but also promote research in basic sciences.

Our lab is well equipped with Gas Analyser for studying Sports Physiology, Autonomic Function Tests, Nerve conduction Studies, Auditory & Visual evoked potentials ,Somatosensory evoked potentials, Repetitive nerve stimulation studies, H & F reflex studies, Electromyography ,Computerised Spirometry.
